Woot Woot, we had our first sleepover at Arlene's house last night with Rachel and Jill and Christian fell asleep on the way there and slept in his pack and play all night long. We had fun!

We saw X files today while grandma and sarah came to visit.

Then tonight Christian went to sleep in his big boy Thomas bed all by himself. yayayayay
So good, he barely cried at all. He had a long day though.
I'm pooped.

Lots of new 08

Ok its been too long since I've posted, sorry.
I've started working contract work and now he has an in home baby sitter which is working out very well. Christian is doing all sorts of new things now, he is talking a ton, making sentences and pretty much is being a little boy. no more baby.... :(
He loves trains still and has his train table up in his blue room now. For the past few months we have just been going crazy with work work work. He loved to go to the zoo with friends, and recently we went to Dolly Wood and had a good time. This month I lost my hard drive and a lot got lost so hopefully that will come back and be fixed soon. Christian pretty much eats anything now, but is mostly a vegetarian. hahah...not sure why. he likes chicken though. He likes to eat with a fork and spoon yay.

This month he learned to say "Where Am I" while covering his eyes. then he says "I not know!!" hahaha. He likes to play with his train tracks in the tub. :) he is not finally out of his little blue bath tub, and in the big boy bath tub. He is sooo cute.

Lots I need to update soon when I get my pics back. I hope.

April 08 stuff

So this week I got a stroke of luck and found day care the first day I went out. I'm planning on going back to work this month. It's not my favorite day care but it's just temporary. Christian seemed to want to get down and play there so I figured he'd tell me if he liked it or not.
I'm sad but I think he needs the other kids. Yesterday we had another spill down the stairs.
Sam tripped and dropped C upside down on his head on the stair below where he was standing. It was carpeted so it was ok. just scary. we took him in and he was fine. I took him to Bearden hill later that afternoon with my friend Michael and his baby and we got Ice cream at Ben and Jerry's and went Bead shopping at Lillie's bead box and green earth emporium. then we came home and ate lunch and later went out again to Michael's craft store to look for jewelry making supplies. so we had a big day yesterday, but it turned out ok. Grandma is supposed to visit today with Sarah. C is excited.

Early 08

God it's been a while since I've last posted. not much has been going on since last post.
We've been sick and not sick, sick and not sick. Sick sick sick....but better finally.
We've avoided play group for weeks. We went to our neighbor's birthday party two weeks ago and got sick again after that. We went to the mall to see the easter bunny with Michael and his friend. That was pretty fun for an outing. We got our new roof this month too which was really stressful. but it worked out great. Chrisitan is eating us out of house and home now, which keeps me pretty busy.

We've gone to the park a bunch this spring so far. We did an easter Egg hunt with the mom's club that was kinda dumb. it was inside and crowded into this little room. But he had fun I think.
hmmm what else. He's on total whole milk now and Toddler formula which is great. This happened when we both were sick and couldn't eat anything for days. We went to the zoo again last weekend and had fun with Michael and his wife amanda, Dave and carrie, and some of our other friends. Got some good pics.
He's pretty much sleeping thru the night now which is good. Now I just need to sleep.
We are trying to get him into day care now, so I can go back to work. I'm sad but it is time.
he will do fine I think.

so Sam and i were sick this week, and C is doing better. today we went to tour a Montessori school for C, and it went very well. She was very happy to see how much he knows, and Christian had loads of fun playing with the other kids and learning some new stuff the teacher was showing him. She said he had great concentration, and said he had good hand eye skills already. so that was good. Still like Tate's school though. But this week he's been playing with grandma since Sam has been so sick. no fun. Every day C is doing really cool stuff. He went to the Dr. yesterday and pointed out and said all the colors on the floor squares. pretty funny.
and always points out circles in the office. The doc nearly lost it when he said "sticker" when i took his train sticker. he's just a sponge head. :)

January 08

ok so this month has been kind of boring. we have been sick for like a month, and we have not done much around the house. Christian keeps growing and growing though. Every day he does something new and funny. This past week we put away the high chair and he is now sitting at his own little ikea table and chairs to eat. he loves it. This weekend he even ate in a booster seat at ruby Tuesdays in the mall. it was very nice not to hear crying every 3 seconds.
but mostly a bit fat lame month. it was cold, we didn't see any snow, just wet and cold.
we are working on putting the new Thomas the train bed together for C. but he's not quite ready for it. He was sick all month so his sleep has been messed up. Mine too. He is kind of sleeping thru the night again, which is good, but now i'm sick and I can't sleep again. yay
hopeing to get some house stuff done next month. but who knows. i'll keep you posted.
C still loves Trains, or should I say "TrainAhs" as he says. hah
he's obsessed.

The end of 07 Recap!

Ok its been a fun year, and C has grown so much. He's doing all sorts of cool things now. and he just turned 15 months. So he's a freaking nut, he can name all his Thomas the train engines from his books. He carries them around with him all day long. He knows the names just by looking at the faces and colors in the books. pretty funny. his favorites are Gordon and Percey.

He just learned some new sign language this month. He finally understands it.
He can sign Train, More, Eat, Daddy, Mommy, Fly or airplane, and Dog, and a few more I can't remember.....
But he can pretty much repeat anything you say to him now, or he tries at least. My favorite one is Avocado. He says Ca Ca for that. but he knows the sound.

so here is my calendar recap of the month of Dec. its crazy

Dec. 6 Sam was sick for the JTV Christmas party, but we went anyways. We saw santa, and got some cool toys. my prize this year was some Rose Quarts Coasters. I had never even seen those before. :D we didn't stay too long since Sam had to go to the ER after....pretty fun.

We had a gift exchange at Laura's house on Dec 11, and the Mom's club Kids party on Dec 14, and the ornament exchange on Dec 6th as well. I made like 5 dozen gingerbread cookies for that.
The kids party was fun though. we saw yet another Santa. and got pictures of that.
How many Santas are too many??? who cares, he loved santa this year. He even called him Clause. he could only say that so far. but it was cute.

hmmm, we went to do our 15 month checkup at Yens on Dec 19. It was ok. He still measured small. We went to Sprout several times this month, because he freakin loves it.
I'm going to get a memebership soon.

We had Christmas at our house on Dec 22, a Saturday with Sam's family. His grandparents, sister and mom came. It was nice. kinda hectic. but he got a lot of cool stuff, and sam got a WII.
The TMX elmo is put away until he is older. It's too nuts for him, but he loved the other stuff.
Tons of books, and lots of electronic toys. I made my first turkey, and it turned out great. It was an Allysons from earth fare. no guts included. I highly recommend. :D

I think one night at the end of Dec. we went to see the Farragut christmas lights. It was pretty lame. They had like 5 lights. You had to wait in line for an hour in the freezing cold in a park, for a 5 min trip around a small track on a horse trailer. That was fun, but the lights were not impressive. After all that he lost his stride rite shoe. Sam went back to find it but it was gone....
but thats ok his foot grew again this month, and he's either in a 5.5 wide or 6 wide now.

but this year we had a real Christmas tree. I went and picked it out down the street at a Horn of Plenty, and they were so nice they delivered it for me. It was a great tree, i'm sad to see it go.
But that's all I can think of now. But oooo this week Christian finally learned how to sleep thru the night. with no rocking or nursing. I got two nights rest in a row.

Santa Already

Nov. 29th was a crazy day. Christian didn't sleep that night again, so he napped at 9 am.
We woke up at 11 and went to Sprout Studio at 12. he loved it there. it was awesome.
He had a giant fun house to run around in filled with kid sized doll houses and play furniture and food. A tree house to climb in. A doctors and vets office, and tons of stuff to do and pretend with.
Kelly and Laurie were there from moms club.

then later that night we went to Farragut town hall to see the tree lighting and Santa.
We didn't make it to the tree lighting, but we saw santa and made snowflakes and Carrie and Vanessa made a cookie. :)

Christian loved the christmas band, and the singers. we got some chocolate goodies and some cute pics.

so here are the stats this week on Christian
*He can now eat dinner with a spoon. when he wants to....
*on the 27th he said ottopuss.... when looking at a flashcard with an octopus on it.
* 22nd. said purse over and over again, cuz he was digging thru mine...
* 26th. knows and points to christmas stocking and now likes to put his sippy cups onto the
table. He also has figured out that the cups in the bath have holes in them and when he holds
them up the water comes out. he likes to do this now.

More to come. I have to bake christmas cookies next week for moms club, i'll let you know how that turns out.

1st. Dentist Appt.

It was at 8:50 in the morning, so we had to scramble out the door. It was raining of course, and i was running late. I passed up the main road we had to turn left on since there was no stop light, so I ended up having to turn around in Farragut and go back. It was horrible during rush hour in the rain. Then i drove down Fox road, and saw one dentist office, but not the pediatric dentist. I freaked out. It turnes out it was down the hill on the opposite side of the building, very hard to see from the main road. So I had to drive down the hill and re park and un buckle Christian again. He was not happy. But when we got there the lady didn't care I was a little late, and she gave Christian a T Shirt!
The office is sweet, it was decorated like an animal safari. Really cool, and they had a tv on in the book room for the kids to watch. He played with a few books and toys for a bit and went back to see the dr. The chair was in a really nice room filled with fish tanks and cool toys. They even had TVs over the dentist chairs. He didn't like the exam but it was over quick. They gave us a sippy cup and he got a ball out of a treasure chest at the end. Over all they were very nice and Christian was not too scared. He has a molar on each side now, top and bottom. He has been very cranky this month. No sleep again.

We Saw the Gosselins

So Saturday Nov. 10th, we got to see the John and Kate plus 8 people. They spoke at a church in Farragut. We took Christian and he decided to be a monkey during the beginning so we put him in the Day Care there. yay
But anyways, Kate looked the same as she did on TV.

But Kate looked well rested, and not like she had 8 kids.....i am jealous.
She spoke of mostly stuff we knew about, like she was huge having 6 babies inside her....
And how bad John's work situation was. but geezzz, they have a TV show and are living it up as I can see. I missed the part where she talked about eating organic, and I didn't see till yesterday they had a show with Sara Snow the organic lady, so that was cool. Kate said they went to check out Earth Fare here, so yay to that. But the day was stressful, Sam left Christian bare footed, in the winter.....i yelled. And I went back to get his socks from the car. And we brought his train and monkey for him to sit with. But the day care was real nice, and the girl there was very nice. that was the coolest part.
But all in all it was a nice speaking. Kind of preachy and churchy but I guess that's how they make a living. They got lots of donations. But I guess I'd do it too if I had 8 kids.

what C can do

Well this month C learned how to color on his own. 11/5 he made his own rainbow.
He can now say many words, and repeats train over and over again. He can say and point to a Clock. He can point to a sea shell, duck, kitty, and zipper. He can say Goat, duck, nana, Pum for pumpkin, Peehhh for Penguin, and Ma for Mia the dog. He can now run all over the place, and he just got his new car seat. He likes to walk around in the drive way too and pick up leafs.
He is in a size 5 wide shoe as of Nov 10th. Hmm what else?? He likes everything Thomas the train still, and hates shopping now with me.

This October was crazy. we went to 3 halloween/birthday parties. and I made Christian an elmo costume. We had fun decorating the house, and carving pumpkins. again an elmo one.
:) we went to the zoo and rode on a camel. yay stinky.

Hot Air Balloon Glow

Last night we went to the Pellissippi Hot air Balloon Glow thingie, it was real cool.
We got lost on the way there, but we eventually got there right as it started. We met Dave and Carrie there with Vanessa. It was so neat. We sat right on the edge of the water and watched the balloons inflate up to music. there were around 10 or 15 of them it seemed. We couldn't see them all from where we were sitting, but there was a 12 story green dragon, an Apple with a worm, a dentist balloon with little teeth, and lots more colorful ones.

It only lasted a half hour or so after dark, and it took us close to an hour to get out of the parking lot. So we waited with our friends in the parking lot and hung out with the babies.
The night was cool, so it was ok, and we got daddy out of the house. :)

Christian's Birthday

Well we had a birthday gathering for Christian on Saturday the 22nd. We decorated and cleaned the house. Put up lots of Elmo and Thomas the Train Decor. We had a big blow up Elmo that ran on a power fan. It was cool. I made cupcakes, brownies, and a chocolate vanilla cake. I think he liked that. He got lots of cool stuff from friends, and he pooped out around 4:00.

The day was crazy because we had to watch our neighbor's dogs that weekend also.
But we got a ton done, and everyone was happy. We got to see Ed and Melody, Lillie and Dave, Carrie and Dave, and lots of baby friends. I think we will leave some of the decor up for a while.
Christian loves the cookie monster and elmo giant plastic portrait in the hall way.

Back from Vacation

Well we had a blast at Dragon Con. It was a lot of work but we had fun.
Sam's sister Sarah came with us, and we stopped at Sam's grandparents house on the way to Atlanta. We picked up Sarah there and finally got to Atlanta about 12:00.

So the Marriot was all under construction. It was really crazy. The Hilton was a new hotel this year we had never been in before. But Sarah also had to stay in the Weston which made it more difficult to plan stuff by. We got lost for registration, and had to walk around the whole building twice, and we got to our rooms just in time to see Beast Master and James Marsters talk.

But before all that, we were going up to our room, Sarah and I. We looked out on the 44th floor and saw The incredible Hulk guy. and we waved at him. It was funny.

then coming down the elevators later on, we were like oh hi. Lori Petty.....
hehe She was like, are you going to where all the crazy people are. We said ya.
She said she was also from Chattanooga, like Sarah is from. She was very nice.
Pretty cool, we got to ride down the elevator with Tank Girl. :)

Well we went to the Hyatt and saw some people. We were pooped by the end of the night.
We saw Bud Bundy (David Faustino) and he was really funny. The baby was kind of crabby through out the panels, so we had to always leave early.

But we got good video of James Marsters. and some really good stuff of the Mythbusters.

Sam donated blood to the blood drive there and got a cool T Shirt. Some pirate guy helped to run the office area, and Christian loved him. He gave us a pirate ring. :)
after that I think we went to bed so we could get up to see the parade in the morning.

So we get up Saturday morning, and walk to the Hyatt. We just chilled out with Josh and Ed and Sarah while we waited for the parade. Lots of people. A few min. after the parade started we see Eric Estrada on a motor cycle and the guy from Police Academy making noises at him. it was real funny. My video went dead right after that. I was mad, cuz melody was in the parade later on. But it was fun as always. We went back in to see the Mythbusters, after sam brought the huge stroller back to our room. that took forever.

We spent most of Saturday walking around the Walk of Fame. I got to meet Mark Singer from Beast master, and we spoke again to Peter Beagle.
Oh and I think that we went out to eat Sat. night with the Gang from Sam's War Craft guild.
Melody and Ed were there. While we were waiting to go by the elevators, we saw James Marsters walk by. OMG it was cool. hmmmm what else.

It was really annoying there this year, they made us wait in long lines, and if you exited the building you could not go back in the same way. and had to walk around again the whole building to get back to where you just were. Really dumb. And the hotel room we had didn't have a refridgerator, and that made it hard. I was not impressed with the Marriot this year.
The stars charged for photos this year which blowed.....we almost went broke.
But all in all we had fun. We spent Sunday walking around the Art venues. and Met James Marsters in the morning. We stood in line for an hour to see him. Christian fell asleep in my front pack though. so it was ok. Sam got our Firefly dvd signed.

We got a zombie family portrait done, and sam got an autographed poster from this vampire movie guy. 30 dark nights or something....
We got a new Larry Elmore poster again, and got another Last Unicorn DVD signed.
Next year it will be better. But we had fun. Peter Beagle is hilarious. I had no idea.
I went to see him speak Sat. Night at his viewing of the last unicorn. He cracked jokes and was very talkative. He was usually very quiet. But he's not shy, and he took a picture with us the next day.

We left sunday afternoon. we were pooped. Had to move the car from the garage again to get our stuff packed and sam had to walk a lot. Not happy. We saw Eric Estrada again the Marriot parking lot. He walked right past us by the front door.

We ate lunch at the Red Lobster and went home. yay
what a trip. Christian had fun. He loved seeing all the cool costumes.

Since he turned 11 months last week, Christian has done some cool stuff.
He took his first steps yesterday all by himself, with no help, and he started to wave bye bye finally.....

He also has the hang of putting balls in the holes in all his toys now. yay

He got lots of clothes yeterday from Grandpa, when family came to visit.
yay what a week.
